WCLV IS MEDIA PARTNER FOR NOON TIME PROGRAM AT HAPPY DOG THIS FRIDAY, MAY 11TH

A non-broadcast preview of this week's KeyBank Friday @ 7 post-concert party by The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall  will take place  at 12:30 PM at the Happy Dog on Gordon Square.
WCLV's Jacqueline Gerber will host.

This Orchestra Off-Stage event will feature artists performing that evening including  hyper-
accordionist
Michael Ward-Bergeman and percussionists Jamey Haddad,
Keita Ogawa and Marcus Santos. The musicians will perform a variety of musical
selections for approximately 30 minutes.
The concert is free and open to the public.

The KeyBank Friday @ 7 concert begins with a one-hour or so concert by the Orchestra featuring the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1  with Alisa Weillerstein as soloist and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Lionel Bringuier is the guest conductor.

That morning at 9:30 on WCLV's First Program, Jackie will talk with Micahel Ward-Bergman and Keita Ogama.

The Cleveland Orchestra and the Happy Dog in the Gordon Square Arts District became partners through an initiative of Cleveland Orchestra musicians who performed chamber music at the Happy Dog as part of the bar’s nightly live music offerings.  The unusual venue for the musicians led to sold-out performances and media coverage in the New York Times and on National Public Radio

The Cleveland Orchestra/Gordon Square Arts District partnership now includes bussing from Gordon Square Arts District to Severance Hall for Cleveland Orchestra KeyBank Fridays@7 performances,  supported by area businesses Spice Kitchen & Bar, Sweet Moses, DuoHome, Luxe, Survival Kit Gallery, and Legation, a Gallery.
