WCLV AND WCPN BROADCAST LIVE FROM THE HAPPY DOG SALOON

On Wednesday, August 15th, at 8:00 PM,
WCLV 104.9 and sister station 90.3 WCPN
jointly presented a two hour plus live
broadcast from the Happy Dog Saloon
iin the Gordan Square Art District.

Happy Dog is the home of the monthly
Classical Revoution that has become a
very popular event. In fact, the place
is usually filled to capacity when Josuha Smith, principal flute of The Cleveland Orchestra and members of his Ensemble HD (Happy Dog/High Definition), perform a selection of the classics in the classically comfortable setting. But when Ensemble HD played its concert at Happy Dog on August 15th, the radio audience experienced the program live from WCLV and WCPN.

In addition to Smith, the Ensemble HD included Cleveland Orchestra members Amy Lee, violin; Joanna Patterson-Zakany, viola; and Charles Bernard, cello. In addition, pianist Christine Dahl performed. She is an associate professor at Stony Brook University. The live broadcast was hosted by 90.3's Dan Poletta with color commentary by WCLV's Mark Satola. Listeners also heard insights from Smith and guests Sean Watterson, co-ower of the Happy Dog, author and arts advocate Charles Michner and Tom Welsh, the Cleveland Museum of Art's associate director;of music
