YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR SUCCESS

We help sell tickets, secure donations and move
product. Here are a few examples of the results
we’re able to generate for our advertisers:

June 2010

Here is a letter from Bill Swan, representing the Christian Science Church and their two Sunday broadcasts on WCLV:

Thank you for the years of first-rate service that and the station has provided our committee. There is no one like you folks and never will be.

Speaking for myself, it is a pleasure and privilege to be associated with your group. What would Ohio be without you? When we need something, it's done, and with class and style like no other. We can count on you for everything.

Bob Conrad and your whole staff are a treasure to the Cleveland area. This Christian Scientist and many others pray that you will always be there.

From Thomas Sigel of Main Street Medina

We had over 400 people and the auditorium holds 500. We had a bus of 40 cancel, so we would have been almost sold. The concerts are starting to take root, and there were many people there who heard about it on WCLV, so we are doing something right. Thanks and take care.

Excerpts from a letter from G. Michael Skerritt, Chair of the Music and Fine Arts Committee of the First Baptist Church

..I thought I would share with you that we had many folks comment on the public service announcements and ads that they heard on WCLV about our collaboration with Fairrmount Presbyterian Chruch and Plymouth Church UCC on our March 1 concert of Haydn's The Creation. I'm sure that WCLV's influence contributed to the fact that the Sanctuary at Fairmount was packed.

In these difficult times, we often look at ways to reduce expenses. I find myself arguing that dropping our WCLV relationship would be the beginning of a death spiral as far as attendance at our classical concerts is concerned ... I look forward to an on-going arrangement with WCLV for many years to come.

Excerpts from a letter from Lisa Mayles, Director of Public Relations and Marketing, Life Share Community Blood Services

I value and depend dearly upon my long, enduring relationship with WCLV 104.9

For many years, the Blood Center had relied on the station to provide clear, consistent, salient messages to their distinguished listenership. We often receive feedback from the audience letting us know they embrace our charity as the blood-center-of-choice because of the station's heartfelt endorsement.

In addition to traditional broadcast services, including lending us stellar on-air personality support in radio spots and national quality production, WCLV is quite generously LifeShare's annual radio sponsor of Thanks-4-Giving, an upscale blood drive gala. Through the station's unflagging ability to drive traffic, each year our event is met with growing success.

I'm pleased to say that I have had a tremendously positive response to my ads on CLV --  many have come up to me at public events and said that they really liked my ads and are ready to support me.

Candidate for Congress

Since we began advertising on WCLV just over 3 years ago, The Community Foundation of Lorain County has seen some amazing results. Traffic to our websie has steadily increased each year, and we credit this success to our WCLV ads which prominently feature our website. We ... know of one gentlemen, an avid classical music
fan and WCLV listener, who came to us for assistance with his charitable planning because he had heard out spots on his favorite radio station. ...Our CEO and I often get stopped by your listeners telling us that they have heard and like the spot they heard about the Foundation on WCLV. ...It is these anecdotes that keep us returning to your station each year.

We couldn't have asked for better weather for today's Senior Safari event at the Zoo. Total Zoo attendance was 5,107. We had 1,649 seniors today -- that's more than 30% of total Zoo attendance. That's terrific!
Thank you for your generous support. I look forward to continuing the partnership in 2008.

Marketing, Cleveland Zoo

... and I just wanted to mention, while it is on my mind, that the WCLV website was one of the top 5 referrers to the NCMC website during the month of June.  Wherever you linked to us, it resulted in 35 visits to our site. Thank you much!

THE FOLLOWING ARE EXCERPTS FROM A LENGTHY LETTER CONCERNING THE RESULTS OF THE BEREA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT'S ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN ON WCLV.  FOR A COPY OF THE COMPLETE LETTER,

On the very first day WCLV ran one of our spots, I received a call from a grandmother on the east side of town. She had heard the last part of our spot twice and had not heard it in its entirety, yet she was impressed enough to call and talk with us about our school district. Her comment to me was, "I have two grandchildren who will be relocating with their family in the next year, and this sounds like just the right kind of school district for them,"

When we started producing and running our Legacy of Excellence spots, which feature graduates of our schools, we know that all of them got calls from friends, family or co-workers who heard their spots on WCLV. One of the most touching stories was shared by Linda Kramer, who is the editor of the Sun News in Berea. In her spot, she thanked her high school English teacher, Mr. Bill Garman, for encouraging her to keep writing, and closed by saying that he and the Berea City School District had made all the difference in her life. In one of those wonderfully serendipitous moments, Bill Garman himself was driving through Beara when he heard Linda's spot. He was so moved that he drove directly over to the Sun News office to tell her how hearing her words had moved him. Since they had not seen each other in more than 40 years, it also turned into a lovely reunion for both.

Thank you for your sponsorship of the 75th annual Baldwin-Wallace Bach Festival. By any measure, the 75th Bach Festival was a success ... we sold out all three Berea concerts and nearly sold out Severance Hall. In total, well over 3,000 people attended Festival events. Your support was essential not only for the Festival's critical success, but aso for attracting attention and drawing so many people to the Festival...

I can’t tell you the number of friends who said they heard the spot ... and heard it more than once! The event was not only a success ... it was a sellout! This is just another proof that WCLV is a key asset to the Greater Cleveland community, and one that reaches the people in that community who support the arts and business activities. I can think of no better place to assure our message gets to the right people.

This year’s performances, including our Christmas Concerts, Messiah, and Holiday Organ & Brass Concerts, ultimately achieved the highest overall gross revenue earned for Holiday Concerts. I have no doubt that our expanded presence on WCLV along with our traditional purchase of advertisements helped us to achieve this record figure. The long and fruitful relationship of The Cleveland Orchestra with WCLV is something all of us value.

Gary Hanson
The Cleveland Orchestra

We had a great response to the advance screening [of the MGM movie DE-LOVELY. WCLV-FM had 71% return rate for the passes. Again thank you for your help in making this promotion a huge success.

"When we recently promoted an Alaskan Cruise and Tour in the Cleveland market, WCLV generated more than twice as many responses than the 'big' AM station in town – and at a fraction of the cost. That’s why we’ve become a regular WCLV advertiser.”
