Museum.

Orchestra after a five year hiatus.

live from Oberlin Conservatory, hosted by Michael Barone.

Cleveland Orchestra Music Director Franz Welser-Moest
presents a talk on Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” in advance
of the Orchestra’s Severance Hall performance, broadcast

Fifteen WCLV winners and guests in WCLV’s “Valkyries”
contest. All attend The Cleveland Orchestra’s Blossom
concert devoted to operatic orchestral music including
Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries.” And each participant
puts on a WCLV Valkyrie Helmet in salute during the music.

WBKC 1460 in Painesville ceases its simulcast of WCLV’s
classical programming. New owners establish a new

The WCLV “Thanks-4-Giving” Blood Drive for LifeShare
at Lorain County Community College yields 213 pints.

WCLV Foundation makes annual donation of $5000
to The Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Museum of Art,
the Cleveland Institute of Music, the Cleveland Play House,
the Cleveland Foundation, and new this year, ideastream.

Sarah Bachman, five year old granddaughter of WCLV’s Robert and
Jean Conrad, reads “The Night Before Christmas.,” reviving a
tradition that started in 1964 when the Conrads' oldest daughter
Caroline, then five, read the poem.

WCLV broadcasts live the annual Vienna Philharmonic New Years
Day concert, a program that has been on the station since the
early 80s.

WCLV broadcasts live the Cleveland Orchestra’s annual
Martin Luther King Concert, feeding the program to WCPN
and WNWV.

First of three live broadcasts by The Cleveland Orchestra
from Knight Concert Hall in Miami over WCLV and WLRN,
Miami. Also fed to other stations around the country. FWM
conducts Beethoven’s Ninth.

Second of three live broadcasts by The Cleveland Orchestra
as part of the Orchestra’s residency in Miami.

WCLV adds “Symphonycast” to its Thursday schedule. Series
includes some Cleveland Orchestra concert previously
broadcast by WCLV.

honored by the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the National
Coalition of 100 Black Women .
