ROBIN GRIER, THE VOICE IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS OF THE MORNING

Robin Grier, WCLV's newest voice on the air, has been with the station since November of 1992. However, it's only recently that he is being heard regularly on mike. Robin is Production Manager for WCLV's program syndication service, in change of our world-wide distribution to other radio stations of such programs as The Cleveland Orchestra, The City Club Forum, the Cleveland International Piano Competition retrospective series and Apollo's Fire, as well as specials from Baldwin-Wallace College and other organizations.
Because of his rotund bass voice, from time to time, Robin would be recruited to do a commercial. And finally, in the fall of 2007, he was asked if he would like to be the voice of WCLV's overnight programming. After several week's thought and soul searching, he decided to take the plunge, much to management's and the listeners' pleasure. With his compelling voice, gentle humor and quick study of the pronunciations, Robin is a winner with the audience. You can hear him Monday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
This is not his first air shift. During the 90s, in addition to his work at WCLV, he moonlighted on weekends as an announcer for WRDZ 1260, formerly WIXY and now Radio Disney. |
