THAT CURIOUSLY STRANGE AND OFFBEAT POTPOURRI OF MUSIC, WIT AND CONVIVIAL COMPANIONSHIP - WEEKEND RADIO

Weekend Radio with Robert Conrad is the
national spin- off of a local program on
WCLV that ran Saturday nights from
10:00 PM to 1:00 AM for 27 years until
Bob's wife persuaded him that there were
other things to do on Saturday nights
then go to a radio studio.
The hour-long show is a skillful mixture of
classical music, cross-over selections
and comedy bits, the latter drawing on
WCLV's extensive collection of comedy
and humor LPs and CDs that dates back to
the late 50s. In addition to its broadcast
at 10:00 PM on Saturdays over WCLV,
(and on the Internet at www.wclv.com)
it's heard on some 80 outlets throughout
the country, many who also stream the show.
We have a list of where to get some of the recordings we play. Also, a carriage list
of stations that tells you when the show is broadcast and the URLs for stations that
stream. Go here for archived Weekend Radio shows. (Note: on the archive page
they're called "sample programs.") Sample shows are posted six weeks after the
broadcast dates. To find when a particular Weekend Radio will be posted, go here.
And for cue sheets, here.

Weekend Radio listeners are curious about the show's Program Secretary, Carmellita
Ooz. For a picture, click here.
We've run across a website where you can establish a radio TiVo, that is, record
radio programs from any station for later listening. We have not tried it, but the
New York Times approves. http://radiotime.com/downloadcenter.aspx
