NEW WCLV PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE ON WEEKEND MORNINGS
WCLV has revamped its weekend mornings.
Beginning at 6:00 AM on Saturdays, WCLV is offering full-length concerts by American orchestras, currently the Milwaukee Symphony to be followed by the San Francisco Symphony. Now you can wake up to some of America's leading symphonic ensembles.
At 8:00 AM, a program new to WCLV, Performance Today Weekend with host Fred Childs. Listeners are able to experience solo, chamber and symphonic works - not on CD, but in live performances recorded for broadcast from around the world. On occasion, you'll hear performances from WCLV's Cleveland Orchestra broadcasts.
At 10:00 AM, Classical Weekend with Choice CDs and features like Composers Datebook and the Loveman Curtiss Opera Interlude, is followed at 11:00 by concerts from Chautauqua through early October, The Indianpolis Symphony will return to run into the New Year; then CIM's Offbeat for 13 weeks during the first quarter.
Erich Kisch's popular show, Musical Passions is now heard on Saturdays at 12:00 Noon. And at 1:00 PM, it's not just the Met Opera on Saturday afternoons any more. As of May 15th, you'll hear full length operas year around from the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Los Angeles Opera, the San Francisco Opera and the Houston Opera. See a detailed story on this website.
Sunday mornings is sounding like this: At 6:00 AM, Millennium of Music with Robert Aubrey
Davis. followed at 9:00 AM by With Heart and Voice. At 10:00 AM, WCLV is presenting a repeat of From the Top with Christopher O'Riley. Then Nancy Sinning hosts Sunday Brunch from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
