Klaus George Roy, program annotator and editor for The Cleveland Orchestra, orchestra broadcast intermission host for WCLV from the late 60s to the early 80s, composer, and man-about-music in Cleveland, died on Friday, May 28, 2010, at the age of 86.

Grant Segall, in the Plain Dealer, wrote, in part,
"Mortal but memorable, Roy had the rather understated title of program annotator and editor for the Cleveland Orchestra from 1958 to 1988. But he was better known than most of the musicians.
"He introduced some 700 concerts at Severance Hall and spoke widely around town. He interviewed top musicians for WCLV FM/104.9 during concert intermissions and doubled as the broadcasts' assistant director. He appeared on WVIZ Channel 25 and elsewhere. He wrote the liner notes for some 200 classical albums by 10 labels. He taught at local universities.
"Klaus was a singular individual who put his stamp on the orchestra's public persona," Robert Conrad, WCLV president, said early this year."
